Cooked in Grassy Park, the way our mothers taught us

Yasmine's is a Halaal home kitchen in Grassy Park, Cape Town, built on the food this community grew up eating — pots of breyani and akni, bredies that simmer all afternoon, pies with pastry made by hand.

"Nothing is cooked until you order it. That's the whole secret — it's made for you, not for a shelf."
